DISAPPOINTMENT.
A great many Sandersvilians went
down to Dnvisboro on Sunday last
to witness the dedication services
of tho Christian church a that place
by Elder T. M. Harris, and to their
surprise tho new edifice was incom
plete. The plastering was not done
tho Bents were not finished the pul
pit was not done, and last but not
least, in beautifying the very neat
little church building, the painter
was behind timo.
The largo congregation assembled
Elder Harris arose and said that it
•md been bis pleasing task to dedi
cate considerable over one hundred
churches in Georgia and olsovvhere
luring tho ministerial period of his
ifu, but never bad bo dedicated one
that was not finished and never would
ue do Such a thing. After making
1 very satisfactory apology for failure
ami disappointment Elder Harris
proceeded with services on a different
line and gave uh a splendid sermon,

was called together to listen to anoth

comment on either lest we get into
deep water, suffice it to say Mr. Har
ris pl eached and all were edified and

The Protracted meeting at the
M. E. Church is still going on.
This has been truly a revival sea
son, no excitement, no help from
preachers abroad. Our beloved
pastor has done the work himself,
and God has blessed his efforts.
We hope It will continue untill
the end of the year, that is the
refreshing spirit of devine grace.
