Crawford invited number of friends around las Friday evening to hear Prof.’ Pickens of Macon perform on the piano and vilon. The music of course was very fine and quite a treat to the crowd. There were two ’possum huuts from town lftst week. The first night the young ladies aud gen tlemen brought back only a rab bit, but Saturday night’s trip re sulted in the capture of two fine ’possums. Nov. 18, 1902. Preaching at Andrew Chapel. A member of the Methodist congregation at Andyew Chapel, near Houston Factory, writes us as follows: . ‘ “Please announce in the Jour nal this week that there will be preaching at Andrew Chapel next Sunnay, 30th inst., at 11 o’clock a. m., by the pastor, Rev, H. 0. Brewton. ‘•It is the custom to have preaching there each fifth Sun day, but bad weather or some thing, I am not sure what, pre vented the preacher from filling his appointments the last two fifth Sundays. . “We are very anxious to have a good congregation out that dav as it will be our last sermon this year drove of ducks, but they wore too high to hear the report of the gun.
