Honk! houk! the horns bark
The autos are coming to town;
Some on tiros anT some on rims
And some are broken dowto.

Bill says if the people are not
wondering why an ambassador
resigns, they are wondering why
he doesn’t.
Trained nurses and retail gro
cers should have the best seats in
heaven since they get enough of
the othor place while, on earth.
Bill says a chap who soolds be
cause girls no longer do their sew

to shine his shoes.,
It is said we can live a hundred

Lpndbn doctors think men
ought to quit playing golf when
thqy reach the age of fifty years-
Perhaps they are just trying to
abolish, the impressions that golf
is an old man's game.
What becomes of a man’s word
when he won’t keep it; asks Bill,
and no one else will take it?
The reason parents spank so
much, says Bill, is because other
methods of rearing children re
quire some mental effort.
MORE WORK THAN WIT
The turkey was never so good
before nor the pies so spiny, ns
they were Thanksgiving, However
turkeys and pies wnot fill our
heads with the knowledge that we
pine for, so we find ourselves back
in school again. Thanksgiving is
pleasant, but it is hard to get
back to work. Nevertheless, we
are back working harder than be
fore, that’s a good sign that holi
days are good for ns. Just what
grease is.to machines, holidays are
tons, wo will, therefore, be in
good condition after the Christ
mas Holidays.
Out new two hundred-dollar lab
oratory equipment is here. Woe
unto the science pupils! However
we wish to express our sincere ap
preciation to the P. ,T. A., who
bought this for us. .
On'account of the disagreeable
weather* the boy’e game with
Zebnlon, whioh was to be played
on our eonrt, was played on the
Marshallville indoor court. Prob
ably this was one of the factors
that made Perry lose the game.
Wednesday in chapel a very
appropriate program was rendered
by different pupils of school. The
program was as follows;
Definition of Thanksgiving by
Herman Andrews.
Sbtag of Thanksgiving by Bev
erly Wallace. . .
A:Trne Thanksgiving by Lewis
Harper, * 1
Reading by Jerry Davis Jenice
Check,and Martha Burkett.
Thanksgiving Story by Mildred

Miss Dennis: “What did Alex

he married the Asiatic Princess?”
Chosto: “Get miirrid again, I

In history olass the other day
they were having current events
for their lesson; Sonic one’s cur
rent event was that there is a new
kink of radio which one uses to
st/iidy by attaching one end of the
radio to the leaves of tho book
and the other end the pupils Bars.
“Well,” said the teacher, “J
want each one of you to get one of
those radios.”
