And they show it in a variety of ways. "That was one of the things that attracted me here," said the Rev. Phillip Thomason, pastor of the church. "I wanted to come to an area where things are starting to happen." A lot of things arc happening in the church now. Their youth group meets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and a youth choir which meets from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. Thomason said the advantage of a church having this type of program is that they can teach children form the Bible and spread the Gospel. Crossroads United Methodist Church is also home to Boy Scout Troop 96 who is celebrating 50 years in this community.
