Bryant receives first
H.C. employee award

Deputy Clerk of Houston
County's Superior Court Farise
Bryant is the recipient of the
county's first Employee of the
Month award.
County Commissioners made the
presentation, on behalf of all
county employees during the com
missioners meeting, Wednesday,
January second.
"Its a great honor. I've been for
tunate to have two great bosses
who have made my job a lot eas
ier," said Bryant.
Bryant is being honored for her
more than 20-years service to the
county's judicial system.
She is the first county employee
to receive the award which includes
a plaque, a check for $25, and an
extra day off.
According to County Personnel
Director Steve Engle, the purpose
of the award is two fold.
"First we wanted to say thank
you for a job well done, for going

the extra mile," said Engle.
"But the award is also an incen
tive for employees to put forth that
extra effort. It's a chance for our
employees to recognize one of their
own."
Recipients of the award are cho
sen through ballot by fellow em
ployees. Each month a county em
ployee will be recognized for out
standing effort. At year's end, an
"Employee of the Year" will be
chosen from monthly recipients.
In a statement released by County
Personnel Specialist Harold
Wilson, Bryant has been selected
because of her dedication and her
diligent work "..for progress in
both the office and the entire
community."
"I can't remember a time when
she was not helpful, kind and con
siderate," said Commissioner
Snellgrove.
”1 sincerely appreciate it."
Ray to hold
office hours in
Warner Robins
Congressman Richard Ray will
be holding office hours at his
Warner Robins office during the
week of January 7-11. He will be
mcetingconstitucnlsona first-come
first-serve basis from nine in the
morning until noon.
Congressman Ray invited "any
one who has a problem or a concern
with a federal agency, or would like
to disfeuss upcoming legislation"
to visit him in his office.
In addition, he said that he would
hold office hours on a monthly baisis
in Warner Robins.
Ray's office is located in the
County Annex building at 200 Carl
Vinson Parkway, The office phone
