The City.—Xot a single arrest was made
by the Police last night, nor a disturbance
reported. Everything about town seems
perfectly stagnant; even the fighting folks
seem to have suspended operations during
warm weather, and the thieves have all
left town, or have on hand a sufficient sup
ply to last them for a time.
TnK officers and members of the M. E.

Dead Men tell no tales, but all who buy
goods oi K. II. Muse, on W hitehall street
are universal in their praise of the excel

low prices at which they are sold. Mr.

their advertisement. We know Muse, he
is the right sort of a man.

We should certainly be glad to witness
again this admirable Exhibition, lor ever
since Thursday evening, we have been
having pleasant visions of Little “Puck*’
and the twin sisters in their fairy dance,
and also of our charming young friends,
Miss Sallie Sims, Miss Lizzie Wood, and
Masters Livingston. Wright and Bell. Miss
Stephens and Miss Harris, are entitled to
more than a parsing compliment, for they
did their parts well. To Mrs. Prather, as
Musicul Directress, is due the credit for the
music given the audience by the little
vocalists, and to Mrs. Goodman lor the
fine arrangement of stage scenery.
