Of the forty-two vole* In favor of
Bmoot; three were cert by Democrats—
Blackburn, Clark, of Montana, and
Daniel. Of the twenty-eight vote*
against Bmoot. nine were Republicans.
Senators Bacon and Clay, of Georgia,
Tillman and Latimer, of South Caroli
na, and the Democrats generally voted
for expulsion. The Republican de
