Mr. Boll made several helpful sug gestions, among which waa the need of organisations similar to the Wo man's ('tub. doing something towards the amelioration of the conditions sur rounding the working girls of Atlanta. Mr. Bell's address was a gem thought, language and ((silvery, and at tendered a rising Its conclusion he waa vote of thanke. Refreshments were served after the conclusion of the program. The next regular masting of the club will be under the direction of Mra. Al fred Truitt, chairman of the lecture committee of the Atlanta Woman's Club. but now living In Naw York, Just re ceived In the city, announce the resig nation of Mrs. Cranston, aa librarian of the Social Service Institute In New York. Mrs. Cranston has been for many years connected In an official capacity with the "Social Service." a sociological organisation, for the co ordination of all labors, and efforts towards the betterment of social, civic and other human 'conditions. Mrs. Cranston has accomplished the most satisfactory results In her field of labors: and has acquired an Interna tional reputation, because of her splen did work. Her resignation waa received with keenest regret by Dr. Strong, the presi dent of Social Bervlce, by all the other officers of the organisation, and by all persons Interested In the work, which ■he haa conductsd In such an efficient and capable way.
