NEWMAN LASER RETURNS.
Nawman Laser, of Atlanta has re
turned. after a successful visit to local
lodKsa or tba Fraternal Union of Amer
ica, and Is now dsvoting his time to
ward furthering the growth of the or
der In this city.
MAXIMS OF FRATERNAL WORLD
Truly thla la the aga of fraternity. *
More than twenty million poopte of thla country aro enrolled In the dif
ferent fraternal organisations. * '
There le less Jumping from ona fraternal order to another now than
there was a few years agb. This la partly due to the fact that the averaao
man Is looking more Into the merits and stability of an order now than hla
older brother did In th» peat.
The ladles are taking more active Interest In the fraternal orders now
than they did In yean past, and tha Influence nf their helping hands Is do
ing much to promots the growth of the great fraternal brotherhoods.
Business man would consider It poor business to go without properly
protecting their stock In the event of (Ire; yet thousands of them do not
protect themselves, notwithstanding that only a small per cent of buildings
bum where one hundred per cent of men die.
When you take Into consideration the many thousands of lodges of the
different orders you will find less defalcations among their financial officers
than In any other line of business.
The gnat good the fraternal orders are doing everywhere throughout
the country la attracting the attention of the highest class of cltlsens, who
are enrolling their names more frequently now than any time during the
past decade. -
Nothing pleases the officers of a lodge so much as to aae large numbers
of the membern coming out to the lodge meeGpgs. Much good often results
from a suggestion of a member who occasionally visits his lodge.

PROPRIETORS.
An Explanation: Tbe Bookkeeping Course in any Business College in
cludes the English branches—such as Grammar, Spelling, Arithmetic,
Commercial Law, Letter-writing, Penmanship, etc.
The Shorthand Course includes the English branches and Typewriting.
Beware of the school with so many scholarships! Its .plan is to combine
several of thenj for the price of one, leading tHe purchaser to believe he
is getting something cheap—which is usually the case.
We would like to inform those who anticipate attending a business
school that the advertised sale of scholarships at half price by another
Business College in this city is a.gross deception. Nothing more iB offer
ed than their usual catalog prices. Tis a pity that an educational insti
tution of some little standing in the past should perpetrate such a whole
sale misrepresentation.
The proprietors of The Dixie have taught Bookkeeping and Shorthand
continuously for quite a number of yeprs. They have recently opened a
school of their own, and teach everything that any Business College
tenches except Telegraphy. Our price for combined scholarship ie $75.
Single Scholarship $50. This is about as much as any school of standing
will charge you for their courses of instruction. Don’t be misled by
fraudulent baits. *
