the Georgia College of Eclectic Medl

corner of Capitol avenue and Richard

The Durham .Hospital, to be conduct
ed In connection with the college, open,
ed Tuesday.
Announcements to this effect were
made at the first session of the thirty,
third annual convention of the Georgia
Eclectic Medical Association, held In
the assembly hall of the New Kimball
Tuesday morning.
The present college Is situated at the
corner of Turner nnd Fort streets. The
site for the new building has been
purchased, and the work of construc
tion Is now under advisement. The new
building will be larger, more commo
dious and more suitably arranged and
equipped.
Open New Hospital.
The Durham Hospital, which was
opened Tuesday morning at 2$5 Capi
tol avenue. Is four stories In height.
The delegates to the convention will at
tend the formal opening Tuesday aft
ernoon In a body. A program has been
arranged end refreshments will be
served.
The convention was opened with
prayer by Professor Elsie B. Thomas,
dean of the college. Committees on
publication, censor)*, finance, auditing
and on the new college were appointed.

money. In the shape of a one-dollar bill

placed on trial In the federal court on Tues
day afternoon before Judge Newman. It
was admitted by the defense that Looper
received the bill denerlbed In the Indict
ment and bad pasesd It. but It was claimed
