The first meeting of the woman's board of the Georgia commission of the Jamestown Exposition was held Friday afternoon In the parlors of the executive mansion, on Peachtree atreet. Mrs. Aaron Burr Steele, chairman of the woman'a board, presided. Governor Terrell spoke to the ladles of their work as commlsslbnera In making the Georgia building one of great attractiveness and a place where a cordial hospitality will bo extended to the Georgia visitors at the exposi tion. He also spoke of the exhibition of the resources of the state nnd the valuable historic relics, beside the dts play along educational and ngricultu rul lines. Mr. Norwood Mitchell, chairman of the Oeorgla commission, then told of the plan of (he building which is to bo an exact reproduction of the Bulloch home at Roswell. The furniture will be loaned by Mrs. Roosevelt, and will be In this building that the lunch eon to President Roosevelt will In. given. Mr. Mitchell stated that the president had requested that the guests at luncheon be limited to 100, thus Including the president and cabinet, the official board of the exposition, the Georgia commissioners, the visiting governors, the foreign ambassadors, the officers of the army and navy, and the admirals on foreign vessels to be In the harbor at the time. The reception which will bo given In the afternoon will be for the visiting Georgian* at the exposition, affording them an opportunity to meet the pres Ident, who will present the silver serv Ice to the battleship Georgia. After this ceremony President Roosevelt will make hla address, standing on the steps taken from his mother's home In Ros well and placed at Bulloch Hall. Mrs. Steele will In the next few days appoint the committees on entertain ing, and also to visit Mrs. Baker at Roswell to ascertain the decorations used and menu served at the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt. Mrs. Terrell gracefully accepted her appointment and graciously extended the courtesies of the mansion to the ladles. Telegrams and letters were rend from Mrs. John Donalson, of Balnbrldge Mrs. J. B. 8. Holmes, of Valdosta, Mrs. Roland Ellis, of Macon; Mrs. Dud ley Thomas, of Athens, and Mrs. W. ltrantley, of Brunswick, expressing their regret at not being able to be present at the first meeting, nnd of their hearty co-operation with the la dles In their patriotic work. Tho next meeting wilt be held on April 18. HUGUELY-HORSLEY WEDDING. The wedding of Miss Sarah Janet Horsley and Mr. Amoa Huguely which will take place next Tuesday evening at 8:30 o'clock. In the First Baptist church, at West Point, Rev. A. R. Bond officiating, will be one of the largest social event* of the spring son, and a beautiful occasion. The altar will be heavily banked with palms and forna and quantities of Southern smllox will be used in tho background and around the chancel, white and green will predominate in the decorations and n touch of color will be given with pink candles in all ver candelabra, placed amid the green together with tho bridesmaids bou quets of pink carnntions. The maid of honor’s pretty costume will be white pekln stripe, over silk with which she will wear a half length veil, and carry a bouquet of white roses. The bride's wedding gown will be of white radium satin, having a yoke and bertha of real lace with handsome pearl ornaments, effectively used on the bodice nnd to outline the flounce on the skirt. The long veil will lie caught to her dark hair with a half wreath of lilies of the valley, and she will carry a bouquet of these flowers.
