lanta Gas Light Company, Tuesday
morning announced the appointment of
Paul McMIchaef, of Philadelphia, as su
perintendent of tho gas company. Mr.
McMIcharl will hat'd charge of tho
manufacturing department^ reporting
to R. C. Congdon, who was recently apv
pointed manager.
Mr. McMichael Is a college man, ^
graduate of the University of Pennsyl- 1
vania. He has been In the gas business
since ills graduation, eight years ago,
nnd has n reputation as an executive of
rare ability and one who possesses a$
rli'iiM-igh knowledge of the business fo8S
which he has been employed.
HEW TRAIN SERVICE
EOR JAMESTOWN
On Sunday, May 5, the Southern rail
way will. Inaugurate a new train serv
ice between Atlanta and Norfolk to
take care of the Increased traffic caused
by the opening of the Jamestown Ex
position. There wllk bo a through
sleeping car on train 88, the New Or
leans and New York limited, leaving
Atlanta at 12:15 p. m. It will arrive In
Norfolk at 10 a. m. In addition to this
there will be local trains on the divis
ion of the Southern between Danville
and Norfolk. On the day of the open
ing of the exposition on April 26 there
will ,be a special from Charlotte, N. C\,
leaving at 4 o’clock In tho afternoon
and arriving at Norfolk next morning
at 8:56 o’clock.
