LA WMAKERS OF GEORGIA FOR NEXT TERM; FULL ROSTER OF TWO HOUSES OF ASSEMBLY Death Has Claimed Two Members in Year. In a little more than a month the general assembly of Georgia will be In session at the capitoL and the state administration will change. This Is a new body of lawmakers, serving the sessions of 1907 and 1908. Of the new senate seven graduated from the last house, and four of these, T. S. Felder, J. J. Flynt, L. G. Hard man and J. XV. Akin, are candidates for the presidency of the senate. Four members of the last senate come back to the house. They are J. C. Odum, Newton; P. F. M. Furr, Banks C. M. Candler, DeKalb! J. R. Luma den. White. Fully fifty members of the hist house return to the new one. Tho re-eledlon of John M. Slaton as speaker of the house Is assured, as he has over two-thirds of the members pledged to him. John Bolfeulllet's elec tion as clerk of the house Is also cer tain. Race in Senate. The race for the presidency of the senate Is ail Interesting one with si* candidates In the held. Hardman, of the Thir ty-third, Commerce. Senator John XV. Akin, of the Forty- second, Cartersvllle. Senator XV. C. Martin, of the Forty- third, Dalton. All of these candidates, with the ex ception of Senator Martin, arc trained legislators, having seen long sendee in the legislative halls. All are good men and whoever wins finally It Is assured that the senate will have a competent presiding ofUccr. Talk with any one of the six and you will be convinced that that nartlcular one is going to will. It Is the general belief that the race will be determined within tho first day or so of the ses sion, and that the long, hard fight of the last senate will not be repeated. Charles Nofthen Is to be the secreta ry of the senate, pledges more than suf ficient having come to him. The per sonnel of tho next house and senate Is given below.
