In 1863, Barslllal Boggs, a young lieutenant in Hampton's Legion, I skirmish at Williamsburg, Va., was killed and his body burled In old Brew- erton cemetery, near the battlefield. At his borne In Pickens county, 8. C., he left a wife and six children. Twen ty years since Mrs. Boggs died, as did also two years afterward two of her sons. They were burled In the Pickens cemetery, and a monument erected over their graves, and on this monu- msnt, on May 4, a fanner passing the cemetery noticed the outline of n face on the monument just above the In scription bearing the young soldier's name. He spread news of the phe nomenon. May 18.—All prepar ations for the entertainment of the Grand Lodge of Georgia Knights of Pythias, which meets In convention here on May 20-32, are complete. Lynchburg, Va., May 18.—The Lynch burg Cotton Mill Company has an nounced another Increase In wages for Its 700 employees of 71-2 per cent, the raise being effective next Monday.
