OFFERINGS LIBERAL

Resulted in a Lower Open
ing on Wheat—Coarse
Grains Are Weak.
ChlcafO, May IJ.—Lower price* ruled
on the board of trade today. The mar-
ket was exceptionally nervous and the
volume of trade enormous. Thero were
declines of 3 3-8® 3 7-8c In wheat, 11-3
02 l-4c in corn and l-801-2c In oat*.
Provisions were off 6010c.
There ware reactions and advance*
from the lowest points reached on a
pressing demand late. Just before the
close there were heavy lota of wheat to
coma out and sharp price decline* re
sulted. Pyramlders dropped out of
wheat In large bundles at the price
dropped. It was on old-time shake
out. with the small fry on the selling
side and the big people grabbing every
thing In alght. July was off as much
as 3 l-4c at one time.
Corn was under further pressure
from cash concern* and hedger* and
support was given only on declines.
Farmers ware big sellers of cash.
Oata weakened on the ralna which
ware needed In tho oata country. Green
bugs are working In Indiana and Illl-
