THE JAPANESE CRUISER CHITOSE.
For the first time in history, Japanese warships, in full fighting trim, with Japanese crews aboard, have been teen in American waters. The pic
ture shows the Japanese cruiser Chitose, one of Admiral ljuin’s squadron, as it appeared on arrival off New York last week. The Chitose was one
of Togo’s ships at the battle of the Korean strait, and sank two of Rojestvensky’s warships.
