the high cables from Liverpool. The result
was an avalsnche of offerings supplying all
the demands from the shorts. After the

eased to 11.95. Then October swung bncir

conditions closely. Liverpool was excited
and ruled higher on cabled reports of wide
spread rains. These reports. However, were
not substantiated this morning, and the
weather outlook was quite satisfactory,
with many Texas points showing Improve
ment. Prices moved In sympathy with

Chicago, June 6.—There were many
sharp twists In the wheat market today.
The early slump was followed by a
brisk advance and this gave way to the
aecond break of the seanon, only to be
followed by a sharp upturn late In the
day. The news from Kansas waa sen
sationally bad. Wheat closed l-8@
1 5-8c higher for the day.
Argentine nhlpmeiita of wheat this
week are 3,200,000 bushels and corn 1,-
200,000 bushels, compared with 2,208,-
000 and 3,130,000 bushels, respectively,
a year ago.
Cables on wheat were lower on
heavy rains, where needed. In Russia,
Corn closed l-8c up to l-8c off after
a varying session, as regards the vol
ume of trade.
Oats were on sale all day by longs
and they closed 1-4 to 1-8 lower.
