June 12.—In tho last two months eight, complaints against railroads before the Interstate com merce commission have resulted In the railroads granting the terms nsked by tho complainants befaro the commis sion even made Ita ruling. John T. Moors and Hon. W. H. Sloan may enter the race for mayor of Macon In the coming primary. Both Mr. Moore and Mr. Sloan have the matter under consideration and If they enter the fight, things politically will be Interesting. Judre A. L. Miller and Mayor Bridges Smith have al ready announced their candidacy for the position of mayor and with two new candidates In the Held the situa tion will be considerably changed. It was thought that the announce ment of Judge Miller and Mayor Bridges Smith settled the matter BO far as candidates for mayor were con cerned, but the politicians have been stirring the past few days, and from present Indications there will be three candidates sure and maybe four. BRIDGE IN8PECTOR' IS URGED BY JURY. Special to Tho Georgian. Macon, Oa.. June IT.—Inspectors of roads and bridges for Bibb county are urged by the grand Jury In the general presentments, and If the county board of commissioners accept this recom mendation made by the Jury, a county police system will be secured In at» In direct way. The Inspectors will of course be vested with police authority and will bo deputy sheriffs as well. Clothed with this authority they will be able to pa trol the more thickly populated sections outside the city. South Macon In par ticular. . MACON STREET CARS HAVE ARRIVED. Special to The Georgian. Macon, Ga„ June 12.—The six new street cars of the Macon Hallway and Light Company arrived In Macon yes terdny, and will be running In a few days. Two of the cars are large ones, and will be run on the Vlnevllle and South Macon lines, while the other four are smaller, and will be used on the Cemetery and Long Belts. The cars are all painted a yellow, with large letters of the company on the sides. POPULAR LITTLE - BOY DIE8 IN MACON H08PITAL. Special to The Georgian. Macon, Ga., June 12.—Eugene Wor sham, 8-year-old son of Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Worsham, died yesterday at the city hospital after an Illness of only a few days. On Saturday last he was taken- sick, but At the time It was thought not to be serious. Eugene was well known and loved by his hundreds of little friends. . The funeral services were held morning at 10 o'clock from the family residence on Coleman avenue, Vlne vllle. TENNI8 TOURNAMENT TO BE PLAYED AT MACON. Special to The Georgian. A large number of. the members of the Cabin nro now working hard to compete with the players coming from other Southern cities. The tennis courts at the Cabin are In splendid condition and the players are nt tho club most every day practicing. Tennis this summer has been taken up by a great many of the young men of tho city. Special to The Georgian.’ Macon, G%., June 12.—After an Illness of some time, John L. Housdr, aged 61 years, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his niece, Mrs. J. T. Elliot, on Second street. Mr. Houser lived at Perry, Ga., until about one year ago, when he moved to this city oh account of his poor health. He is survived by his wife and four eons, Messrs. L. M., L. B., E. J. and R. C. Houser. Mr. Houser was well known In Ma con and his many frlertds have learned with sorrow of his death. SUPERIOR COURT OPEN TO COMPLETE WORK. Special to The Georgian. Madon, Ga.. June IS.—The superior court was kept open yesterday and will also be open today, In order to complete several small matters. Yesterday after noon the certiorari docket was com pleted.
