"Hop Hollow," a popular picnic ground
near here, and have driven every bird
out of the woods. The hollow has
b«en marked for Its song birds, but
all have disappeared under the on-
laughts of the Ins
The crows were
the locusts, and all were killed the
first day. Blue Jays resisted. them for,
a time, but even these birds were
driven away.
The locusts are of the variety known
as seventeen-year locusts and more
are coming every day. People have

fifty prominent citizens of South Ma
con, who are friends of Wayne C. Wil
son. In which they were positive In
their claims that the young man had
nothing to do with the charges which
were made against him by his sister, a
brother-in-law. S. B. Adams, and his
aged father. Wilson Is declared to be
a young man of exemplary character.
