The last meeting of the Atlanta Wil lard Woman’s Christian Temperance Union was most Interesting and in structive. The tenth Psalm was read by Mrs. Mary Gordon, who then voiced an ear nest prayer for the efforts being made by the temperance organizations to save the people from the evils of the traffic in Intoxicants. Rev. Dr. Gordon, pastor of the As sociate Reformed Presbyterian church, In the course of the delivery of a most notable and eloquent address, took oc casion to give the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union most excellent and practical advice on important subjects. He thought we should use our utmost endeavors to secure for Atlanta the national prohibition convention In 1908. Twenty-five Cents a Rottle. a temperance mou meeting the firet Sunday night In each quarter In some building near the center of the city and thus unite the temperance forces In our city In a well concerted attack on King Alcohol. It was decided that the Atlanta Wil lard Union should not have a meeting this week, but Instead would accept the Invitation tendered all temperance people to meet at the Grand Thursday afternon at 4 o'clock to consult as to the wisest plan to adopt to secure to us and to posterity the pleasures and benefits of state-wide prohibition. The Chautauqua salute was tendered the speaker, and an Invitation extended to come often and help us to wise and practical suggestions. The meeting adjourned until July 4. when lire.
