CELEBRATING GLORIOUS FOURTH New York, July 4.—The glorious Fourth Is being generally observed here today In the usual way. Covington, Ga., July 4.—It Is report ed that the largest real estate deal recorded In Newton county In a num ber of years has been consummated by the Bibb Power Company at Stewart, twelve miles south of this city. The lands bought consisted of about 8.000 uores, belonging to A. S. King, and It Is understood that $16,000 was the price paid for the property. Tho county commissioners and the Louisville and Nashville railroad are about to clash over the construction of a bridge over the Greensferry road by the latter. The railroad, upon completing the bridge, notified the county authorities, and Superintendent Donaldson notified the officials that the bridge did not come up to specifications. Nearly a month has elapsed, It Is charged, and the railroad has made no move to come up to the Hpeciflcations. The board of county commissioners are now looking Into the matter. Tallulah Falls, Ga., July 4.—Some time during last night, or very early this morning, some one raised a flag about 20 feet above Point Inspiration, Juat across the chasm from this vil lage.
