heavy, but was light In a few localities and

Florida—'The temperature averaged about
norma! over moat of the state. The midday
heat wns generally moderate. Thunder
showers were frequent In the afternoon In
the northern nml western portlous, but rain
wns less general In the central nnd south
ern portions. The sunshine wns ample.
Georgia—'The weather waa generally fair
the first three days with abundant sunshine
nnd extremely high temperature, but the
remainder of the week wns cooler nnd
showery. The menu temperature was above

less than two Inches, but wns slightly above
normnl over most of the state.
Tennessee—Tho first three days were dear
and hot. Light to heavy showers were gen
eral from the 9tb to the 12th. The Inst

Texas—There were showers nnd much
cloudiness for five days, but the last two
days were generally clear. The rainfall
exceeded the normal In northeastern, north
ern and n large numlier of northwestern,
western nnd southwestern counties, but
there wns very little along the Itio Grande,
on the Immediate const, and over a large
number of central and southeastern coun
ties. From three to more four Inches of
rain fell In several western, northern and
northeastern counties. The temperature
wns nenrly normnl except In the region of
greatest rainfall, where It was below nor
mnl.
Oklahoma nnd Indian Territories—'Tho
forepart of the week wns moderately cool
and cloudy, with showers nnd thunder
