LIGHT ON THE QUESTION
w
Housekeeper!
Have you concluded that present conditions in youi
kitchen cannot be improved f That stoves other than
gas stoves, will give you the best satisfaction! Do you
believe that the kitchen is, and always will be, a bane to
womankind; a place to go to with dread, and a place to
leave with pleasure-! That fuel bills are always up, and
never down! That things are bad and can’t he Worse;
that relief is sought, and cannot be found! If you are
taking such a dismal view, remember that over 12,000
families in Atlanta own a gas range. The very rich, as
well as the very poor, cook with gas.
' We do not expect business from those who would
rather waste than save: from those, to whom better liv
ing, at less expense, does not appeal; to whom economy
offers no inducement. Are you going to work, drudge,
and never rest, and always be content to slave and
toil! Are you going to use coal, or wood, with all its
dirt, when gas, so wondrous clean, saves time, as well
as money?
We expect business from the people who want gas
because they need n better fuel than coal or wood; from
those people whose greatest concern is'comfort, econo
my, cleanliness and convenience; who want cool kitchens
instead of hot ones; and who want their food cooked
right.
The people’s coal bin is nt our gas plant. We carry
the coal and take out the ashes. We do all the hard
work, and send to your very kitchen the result of our labors, we send you the
gas. We are your servant—not the kind of servant who leaves without notice,
but the kind who is always at work and ready to serve you, to do unto you as
you would be done by.
Think It Over and Try a Gas Range.
