It IS said that the bill Is aimed «t the oil trust, and Is designed to pre vent the sale of oil at a competitive Mint at a lower price than that of fered purchasers at other points In the 6C The full text of the bill Is as follows: "Section L Be It enacted by the ceneral assembly of Georgia and It Is t, r eby enacted by authority of the i'ame ; That any person, firm, company. ,,satiation or corporation, foreign or domestic, or any ofllcer or agent In -harjte of any corporation’s business at -ny locality In the state of Georgia doing In said state of Georgia and en cased In the production, manufacture it distribution of any commodity of teneral use, that shall Intentionally, for the purpose of destroying the business c t a competitor In any loAUlty, dis criminate between different sections, communities or cities of the state, by selling such commodity at a lower rate In one section, community or city than Is charged for said commodity by said party in another section, community or city after making due allowance for the difference, if any, In the grade or quality and In the actual cost of trans portation from the point of production. If a manufactured product, and after making due allowance for the cost of handling such commodity or product, .hall he deemed guilty of unfair dis crimination, which IS hereby prohibited .nd declared unlawful. gee. 2. Be It further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That any person, Arm. company, association or corpora tion violating any of the provisions of the preceding section, or any offi cer. agent or receiver of any Arm, company, association or corporation, or .ny member of the same, or any Indi vidual. found guilty of violation there- of, shall be punished as for a misde meanor. as provided In paragraph 1039 of the penal code of Georgia for 1895. Sec. 5. Be It further enacted by the authority aforesaid. That It shall be the duty of the Judges of the superior courts of this • state specially to In struct the grand Juries of their respec tive courts at each term thereof as to the provisions of this act. Sec. 6. Be it further enacted by'the authority aforesaid. That nothing In this act shall be construed as repealing anv other act, or part of act. but the remedies herein provided shall be cu mulative to all other remedies pro vided by law.
