lias GRAPE-NUTS as a foundation. Ideal on hot daye
because GRAPE-NUTS requires no cooking and is at
.the same time a perfect food.
A perfect hot weather breakfast, made up of GRAPE-
NUTS and cream, some fruit, soft-cooked eggs, and a bit
of crisp toast, starts the day right, keeps the blood cool
And body and brain well nourished.
Compare the cool, contented GRAPE-NUTS-fed

You don’t have to cook GRAPE-NUTS for the reason
that this food is cooked perfectly^ at the factory. This
cooking is done on scientific principles, so that all the
starches of the grains arc transformed until they are
ready for immediate digestion and yet all the good of the
grains is left in.

That there la a great awakening of
the public conscience and a fixed In
tention on the part of the people to
hold Its public servants strictly to ac
count for every act, la evident by In
formation given out by Claude N.
Bennett, of Washington.
Mr. Bennett Is an old newspaper
man, formerly representing an At
lanta paper at the national capital. He
was also private secretary to Governor
Hoke Smith when the governor was
sec re titty of the Interior. For some
years past Mr. Bennett has conducted
the Congressional’ Information Bureau
In Washington, an Institution that
furnlshen public men and others all
kinds of data.
Mr. Bennett Is now spending hls va
cation In Atlanta, and In conversation
gave the following Interesting Infor
mation: ,
"Usually I am not very busy with
my Information bureau service be
tween sessions of congress. The bulk
of my work Is In compiling needed
data and statistics fur senators, con
gressmen, and other nfflrlats.
Looking Up Records. <
since the adjournment of con-
I have hod a large force con
stantly employed looking, up the rec
ords of congressmen. These Inquiries
Come from all parts of the country and
directly from the constituency of tho
men. It Indicates thrjt tho people no
longer take It for granted that tho men
they send to Washington perform their
full duty. They evidently mean to
know without guess-work whether or
not the men they send to represent
them are doing what Is right. ,
"It would Indicate a general awaken
ing nil over the country. The old way
of electing a man, and further Interest
In hls record stopping with the ballot.
Is a thing of the past. The voters now
demand to know what their congress
man la doing, and our requests are for
detailed statements of their records In
congress."
This Is perhaps nnothsr striking evi
dence of the reform wave that has set
In all over the’ country. This Investi
gative mood of the people may mean
the death knell to many who have
fancied themselves securely entrenched

Dear Mr. Fletcher:—I wish to congratulate you on your numerous vic

distant when these inferior and dangerous mixtures will be entirely suppressed.
Yon are right when yon say in your advertisements that it is “ Experience
against Experiment.”
I feel it to he an outrage, and an imposition upon the parents of little chil
dren that my name should he associated with imitations of Oastoria, dangerous to
the health and life of these little ones who too often fight their battles for life in vain.
Let me again commend you for the high standard you have maintained
in the preparation of my prescription, and I confidently believe it is due .to this
scrupulous integrity you are indebted for tho wonderful sale of Castoria to-day,
