Investment conditions bad no doubt somo

chief consideration with nearly everybody
who took part lu the day's proceedings on
the stock market was whether liquidation
had pcriunneatly ceased, nnd If so, how
much room for further advance thor* re
mained from the ueee*sitlea of au uncov

eunlod with experiments designed to test
this speculative situation. Prices, however,
did nut move forward with any enthusiasm
and at 1 o'clock trudlug bad come almost
to a standstill.
