fhlr'ngn. Sept. 4.—Advances were
scored of---801 6-8 In wheat, 11-40
1 l-2c In corn and 1 3-8@1 7-8c In oata.
Provlalons were UP 7 1-2023 1-2.
Bullish sentiment prevailed to a high
degree In the w(ient trade today, but
the northwest and Liverpool refused
to follow save In a half-hearted way.
The mrengtlr hero Was based' on ex-
1 tremely bullish cables from nerlln,
which reported the wheat and potato
crops of Germany greatly dlscatlsfai'-
tory, the harvest In the black country
damaged by rnlna and late gathering
feared. Local bulls supported the mar-
ket In a liberal manner and took nil
the wheat offered. Toronto reported
that Ilnur had been so far soltl ahead
that mllla are marking up prices for
future bualnesa. Private messagea
from the northwest Indicate very low
temperatures In that section Inst night.
The weather Is cloudy and cool all over
the country. The world’s available
supply of wheat Increased 2,000,000
bushels last week, against 597,000 bush
els Increase a year ago.
The com market showed a wonder
fully broadening tendency, but some
realizing on the early bulge caused a
moderate reaction. Later values again
sold higher, reaching a new level for
the crop year. The cool weather
throughout the belt and fears of frost
were the. principal bullish helps In this
cereal.
There was little opposition to the
marking up of prices In oats, sellers
seeing nt this late date the Impossi
bility to fill contracts with no oats
available.
Provlalons joined with grain In the
rise. Trade was again largely
glng sort, longs selling
buying distant futures.
