From the Sandal to “Sorosis” >HE Greeks wore sandals because their arts, splendid though they were, had not encompassed such a luxury as the ",Sorosis ” shoe. The world was to wing its way through a score more of cen turies before womankind should receive the boon of perfect protection for truth to say, even a Greek goddess was not so "Sorosis” woman of today. Highest Quality, Perfect Fit i~)UR forefathers had advanced far enough to make shoes, such as they were, with sole, heel, vamp and upper; but in shapes and that we look upon today as curiosities. It is only within the last generation that shoe-making has been lifted to the plane of an art, an art which finds its highest expression in the production of the “Sorosis ” shoe. Like sterling silver, "Sorosis” shoes are accepted today as a standard. There may be variations in style, but never in quality, and no matter what the size or pattern, or the weight and finish of material used, "Sorosis” shoes are alike in one prime requisite- Style No. B0—"Sorosis” Vici Bluchcr Patent Tip Welt Sole. Extremely popular $3.50 Style No. 35-3-"Sorosis" Vici, Welted Sole, Patent Tip Walking Boot $3.50 Keep Their Shape—Do Not Stretch COROSIS’ 1 shoes are so carefully conitructed they KEEP V THEIR SHAPE and DO NOT STRETCH. The "Sorosis” manufacturers are the only shoemakers in the world who design and make all their own lasts and patterns, and use no others. Other manufacturers may imitate, but they can never obtain "Sorosis” lasts; and the same ts true of “Sorosis” styles, which are original, and can be found in none but genuine "Sorosis ” shoes« The production of “Sorosis” shoes is the result of years of patient study and toil, progressive and intelligent business methods, and an adherence only to the highest ideals. No great thing has ever been produced off-hand. Before the masterpiece is achieved the artist must employ a life-time of effort in preparation. The making of "Sorosis” shoes is the result of complete preparation, supplemented by a marvelous system of manufacturing, built up with care, step by step, because the f old system was not good enough to produce “Sorosis” shoes. ’ .
