' Macon, .Ga., Oct.’9.—No definite data lias yet been agreed upon for the Ma con Day at the Jamestown Exposition, nor will a day be named until Mayor Smith receives an answer to a letter written by Traveling Passenger Agent Petit, of the Southern railway, to the passenger department, asking for In structions. It Is the Intention to run a through sleeper to Norfolk to accommo date the Macon people who will go to the exposition. Hagln, who was found dead by her husband Tuesday morn ing, was shipped to Toomsboro, her former home, where the funeral serv ices and Interment were held today. Mrs. Hagln was well known In Macon and leaves, besides her husband, three children, Mnttllc, Annie and Carl, also three sisters, and her father and moth er, living at Toomsboro. CLINTON COOPER DIES FROM TYPHOID FEVER. Rperlnl to The Georgian. Macon. Ga., Oct. 9.—News of the death of Clinton D. Cooper, of Elko, was received In'Macon Tuesday after noon, with great sorrow. Mr. Cooper was a brother of Mra. Dr. Little, of Macon, and was well known by hundreds In this city. HIRED WOMEN TO LOAD BOAT London, Oct. 9.—The captain of Russian ship ha* caused great Indigna tion along the Thames water front by hiring women to load his vessel. When men applied for work at six or soven shillings per day the captain told «b*m they were pot wanted. The next day fifteen women were put to work on the ship.
