The gymnasium classes at the Young
Women's Christian Association began
Monday. October 14. All who are to

The marriage of Miss Ellen Allen
Richardson and Mr. Walter Worthing
ton Dudley took place Monday after
noon at 6 o'clock at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Augustine ThOmas, In West End.
The only attendants were little Miss
Sarah Oolcord and Master Joseph
Heath Williams, who preceded to the
Improvised altar the bride and groom.
The bride wore a handsome traveling
S own of blue broadcloth with hat of
lack satin trimmed with black plumes
and Jet lace. Her bouquet was of bride

A reception. At which only relatives

followed the ceremony, after which Mr.
and Mrs. Dudley left for a brief honey

bridge club Monday afternoon at her

work and were enthusiastic about

Mrs. John K. Ottley gave an Interest
ing talk on education and tho oppor
tunity nfforded club women all over the
state to aid In beautifying the school
buildings; to Rsslst rural schools In
the most substantial way, and to make
December 8 Arbor Day all over the
state of Georgia very successful.
Mrs. Ottley was very much encour
aged that club women are assisting the
rurnl schools In un organized way. She

ladles of Tlfton have extended to all
club women, whether, delegatee or not
to attend .the convention of the State
Federation November 7 and 8. at Tlf
ton.
Mrs. Frank Woodruff, of the social
service committee, gave a brief out
line of a great work to be accomplished
along these lines the coming year by
this committee.
The club was very fortunate to have
with them at the first meeting the state
president, Mrs. M. A. Lipscomb, who
was In the city for a few days. In a
short, happy speech she congratulated
the ladies on the work planned for this
year and urged unon them the need of
helping others, the great creed of the
club women of Georgia.
Miss Helen Crennan, of Washington,
D. C., delighted the ladles with three
beautiful songs.
The delegate and alternate to the
State Federation convention, which
meets in Tlfton November 7 and 8, were
elected at this time.

John A. Porduc, alternate.
After a delightful social hour over
tea and sandwiches the club adjourned.
CHRYSANTHEMUM 8HOW.
The chrysanthemum show, which Is
to be held soon In the Worman'e Club
rooms at the Grand, will be open to
all lovers of this beautiful autumn
flower, whether club member* or not.
