THE SWEEPERS.
Mletree* Autumn In her door
, (-nil* the eweepere—who are they?
Winds of night anil wind* of day.
Sweeping all the leaves away
From the mossy woodland's floor!
Mistress Autumn stands and smiles
As they scurry down the aisles
Of the forest and the lane.
And her world looks clean again.
Mlstresk Autumn knows tonight.
In the moonbeams and the dew,
Fairies yellow, green and blue.
On her dainty carpets, swept and new,
Will In dainty dance delight!
Mistress Autumn stands and calls
Everywhere the dead leaf falls
To the winds that come and sweep
All the rubbish In a heap!
