Chicago, Nov. 13.—Bartlett, Frtsler A Car* rington: It looks very much as though we had seen the low prices on grain In this market, and if financial matters would only enso up we undoubtedly would sec higher prices. The receipts of coarse grains are very light, and while the demand for corri at the moment is not good, the demand for oats In improving. The consuming trade cast has been reducing Its stock during thsese financial stresses, and It will not bo long before they will l»e free and will ing buyers. .. Chicago Itecord-Herahl: All eonalderttion of the wheat situation at present Is neces sarily conditioned on the financial outlook. From n strictly merchandising standpoint on it supply and demand basis the wheat position is sound. There Is little Indication that there will bo any surplus carried over from the world's crops this year, and most of the world's best authorities figure out a deficit which It has been popularly pre sumed would have to be adjusted ny an elevation of prices. The Introduction of the financial element—necessarily vitab-to the situation makes the price level at which wheat will go Into consumption even more to run on present stocks until the arrival of the Argentine wheat crop, which I* now nearing harvest and which will be available lu the Importing countries by March 1 at least. There Is quite n quantity of wheat run nlug from America and other countries that will go to supplement the wheat stocks now avallsble In tne large Importing coun tries. A cessation of tbe foreign demand for wheat at this tlrao would be unfortu nate, as It is the most promising means of bringing about a flow of gold In this direction, thus restoring the usual financial equilibrium and getting the eufrency Intc the ordinary chaunels from which it is nen being persistently withheld. At to whent, however, the money trou Wee are potent. There has been much long corn liquidated by local speculators during the last week, who under ordinary condi tions are strong enougV ro hold their prop erty through all sorts of attacks. The** were unwilling to face unknown possibili ties last week and generally marketed their property. The eastern demand for corn is restricted by the money situation, but thers are Indiratlous of a possible revival aoon of the export trade. COTTON SEED OIL MARKET.
