THE ATLANTA GEORGIAN AND NEWS. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19. Gold, $1,000.00 1 Grand Piano 30 Scholarships Automobile, $2,000 10 Upright Pianos 15 Diamonds Runabout, $650 20 Trips to Cuba 15 Gold Watches GIVEN TO SUBSCRIBERS BY THE GEORGIAN AND NEWS. J WHY WE DO THIS A newspaper with a subscription list the size of the Georgian spends a great deal of time and money each year collecting and renewing their subscriptions. Experience has shown that the use of special prizes and the employment of experts to do this work is a wise investment from a busi ness standpoint. We simply contract with an expert who knows the management of these things as the engineer knows his engine. We have taken a special office in the Austell Bldg, Room 321, in which to conduct the work; a large force of assistants will conduct the contest and personally visit almost every home in Georgia. The Georgian and News is mainly a Georgia paper—it goes somd to other states but not nearly so much as other papers do. We do not try to get circulation much outside of Georgia. We are making it a home paper. This opportunity is superior to most similar ones given here before because the wealth of prizes which have seldom been equalled are to be divided to Atlanta and Georgia alone. As we have told our readers, the advertiser, who pays 3 times as much toward the expense of newspapers than the reader pays, needs large circtf- j lations to bring him customers. • So newspapers can afford to give these inducements from tinle to time for the benefits they bring their advertisers. The Georgian is going to 30,000 liomes now, and we-expect to add from five to ten thousand more before this contest ends in February. These so- called prizes are genuine and will be exhibited in prominent places soo^i. The Georgian does not simply give them away—for we get much in return -but the one who'wins the prize need make no outlay but simply ask her friends to take the Georgian and use the votes this gives for her benefit. THE PLAN IN BRIEF The winners of these prises will be decided by popular vot. of Georgian and News readers and friends of contestant,. Votes are secured on all cash In advance subscriptions to The Georgian and News from one month up. and coupons may be clipped from each copy of the paper.
