New York Commercial: There Is almost as sharp a demand for the fancy cotton * tnat are coming forward for spring goods coming to them hastened to cancel or to try and back out of orders on the ground that they could not handle the goods with a profit and that acceptance would cripple them. Now these same men snd they do tiot believe that the buyers who have asked to bare goods withheld will fall to take the merchandlae ultimately. Every report that Is turned In by the road men for selling agencies and Jobbers is of a more encouraging- nature. The consensus jpot valuation of merchandise that was a cause of distrust on tbe part of buyers has ceased to affect lines except In a few of tbe coarser cottons.
