Oa., Dec. 1?.—Yesterday morning at 2 o'clock one of Harlem’s oldest citizens and pioneer settlers, Cnptnln John \V. Bell, died. lie hnd been In fcehla health for eighteen months and for tho past three weeks had been routined to his bed. Mr. Bell was general supervisor of this end of tlie Georgia railroad, which position he bad held for quite awhile. He also served his towu an mayor for several terms, and had held a number of other offices, lie is sur vived by his wife, .Mrs. Fannie Bell, and a brother. J. T. Bell, of Atlanta: five dnugb ters.
