New York, D«c. 10.—Speeding toward Binghamton today Is a solid train of tire ears on the Lackawanna railroad, • arrying 250 passengers, and erery pas senger a lunatic. This train, the most remarkable that was ever sent over a I.ackawanna road, was made up at Ho- bnken especially to take the 260 men and women, all chronically Insane, from New York, where they had been con fined on Wards Island, to the Insane asylum at Binghamton. Other passengers In the crowded Lacnkawanna station hardly knew that the 250 men and women they saw tiling Into the train were all Insand, some of them afflicted with homicidal mania. But- there was no demonstration on the part of any of the patients, and all were quietly seated In the train, which pulled out shortly afterwards.
