of H. K. Chapman, of the Graco church
league, for president to succeed Judge
Preston, and there Is little doubt but that

Ohio’s Governor Will Be En
tertained Every Minute He’s-
in Town.
Governor Judson Harmon, ot Ohio,
will be given a continuous round of
receptions during his stay In Atlanta
Wednesday. Committees from th«
Chamber of Commerce and tho Young
Men’s Democratic league will go up
to Rockmart at 6:40 o'clock In tho
morning to moet him, and from the
time he arrives over tho Southern at
11:10, until he leaves at night at 11
o'clock, ho will be a much-honored
guest.
From the Terminal station the re
ception committee will take tho gov
ernor on a tour, around the city. At 1
o'clock he will be given a luncheon by
the Chamber of Commerce at the Tied-
mont hotel. President F. J. Psxon, the
officers and director, of the chamber,
35 of the members of the Democratic
league, and other Invited guests being
present;
He will be escorted from the Pied
mont In the corn show parade to tho
Auditorium at S o’clock by Colonel F.
J. 1'axon, If. G. Hastings, .chairman of
the executive committee of the com
show, and J. J. Hastings, acting pres
ident of tho Democratic league, In tho
absence of Marion Smith. After a re
view of the corn show. Colonel Paxon
will Introduce Governor John M. Sla
ton, and Governor Slaton will Introduce
Governor Hannon for the address of
the day.
A committee of the Democratic
league will then take the governor to
the piedmont hotel for a public recep
tion from 5:20 to 6:30. This will be
tho only opportunity tho public will
have to meet the distinguished guest.
A reception will bo given to him by
the University club from 6 to 10
o’clock In the club house. A committee
from this club will then accompany him
to the Terminal station.
