Flynt and Upshaw fought It out. Mayor
Watkins presided.

TECH GLEE PROMISES
NOVELTY THIS YEAR
An entirely new feature has been added
to the program of tha performance to he
given by the Georgia Tech Glee club thla
season. The management has combined
the merits of a musical organisation with
chose of a dramatic club.
Several of the performers being, the
proud possessors of more or less sylph-
like forms, will appear upon the stags
In the garb of fair maidens. These will
be representatives of Agnes Hcott. Wash
ington seminary and various other col
leges for tha weaker sex. They will ap
pear to tha public In the scene depicting
a reception given to these .college girls
by the Tech boys. Various catchy songs
will he rendered by them and—but to tell
the scheme Is to rob It of Its spice.
The first performance of the club takes
place at the Grand theater on Friday
evening* December IS. The club has a
number of splendid Individual voices,
quartets, both vocal and Instrumental,
and a well trained chorus. The members
have displayed unusual ability aa actors
besides their musical gifts.
The mandolin club has obtained the
very latest song hits and la rendering
them very creditably. The chorus, which
has for four weeks trained steadily under
the Able directorship of William Arno, Is
a splendidly trained body of singers. The
orchestra, not cogtent with the laurels
galhed for Itself last year ss the best
college orchestra in the Houth. ia work
ing 4iard and bids fair to surpass even Its
brilliant record of last season.

club and Is working dally for Its success.
