The event waa attended by quite a
number of Invited friends from here
and from Georgia The house was
beautifully decorated with Southern
smllax, potted plants, cut flowers and
mistletoe, and the drawing room, hall
and parlors were lighted ,by the 'soft
radiance of shaded candles. Every de
tail was In exqunlte taste, and the
scene presented wa? a most appropriate
setting for the happy event
The bride wore a handsomu creation
of white crepo meteor, trimmed In pearl
and real late, and carried a beautiful
shower bouquet of lilies of the valley,
and orchids. Mrs. W. I,. Hardeman,
the matron of honor, waa dressed In
pink marquisette over pieosnllne, with
crystal trimmings, and wore a large
black picture *nt. trimmed In ermine,
gold lace anil water lilies. She carried
a bouquet -if pink Enchantress carna
tions tied with pink tulle. Little Miss
Eugene Hardeman, the maid of honor,
wore o dre-iB of white lace and large
pink ribbon, and carried pink roses.
Following the ceremony, a reception

bridegroom and the members of the

of (honor at a fridge-luncheon Thurs
day morning, at which Mrs. O. C. Fuller
entertained a party of the season's de
butantes.
The luncheon table was decorated In
Killarney roses and the Ices were frozen
as pink roses. The dainty details con
formed to the color motif.
The living room and reception hnl!
were adorned with palms and ferns, a
holiday note being struck with many
gaily decorated miniature Christmas
trees placed about the apartments.
There were pretty aduvenlra for top
score, consolation and guest prizes. A
dainty luncheon followed the game of
bridge.
Mrs. Fuller wore a gown of cream
lace over silk, and a corsage bouquet of
parma violets. She was assisted In
entertaining by her daughter, Mrs. Guy
Mitchell, who wore brown velvet trim
med In brown fringe and cream lace.

velvet costume with Irish lace collar
and cuffs and an embroidery on the
corsage showing touches of blue and

Miss Mary Howry waa an Interesting
event of last Saturday. MIsb Howry Is
related to Mrs, John King Ottley, of
Atlanta, whom she has visited and who
entertained for her elder sister, Mies
Elizabeth Howry, last winter. Mlsa
Howry was presented to Washington
society at a brilliant tea yesterday aft
ernoon from 5 to 7 o'clock at the Wash
ington club, 1710 I-st. Mrs. J. B. White-
head, of Atlanta: Miss Dashlell, of
Mississippi; Miss Lynne, of Vlrglnln,
house guests of Mrs. Howry for the
occasion: Mrs. W. B. Judson, Mrs. P.\
