THE DRIVING CLUB.
The usual table d’hote suppers will
be served Sunday evening at the Pled- j
mont Driving club, On Monday the
club will keep open house from 1 to 10
o’clock, and at 4 o'clock the orchestra]
will begin. Delicious refreshments, ap- |
proprlate to the holiday season, will bs t
served during those hours, and a lurge j
number of guests are expected to call
at the popular club house on New I
year’s day.
A number of parties have been ar
ranged for the Sunday evening sapper,
among them one of si* guests to be
given by Mr. Veal, of Detroit. Mr. and
Mrs. J. Frank M«ador will entertain a
partv of six, Mr. t). H. Young will have
eight guests and Mr. Kingston will also

Miss Margaret Dlsoevvay will, enter
tain at a delightful luncheon on next
Wednesday. January 3, at the Piedmont
Driving club.
The affair will be given In honor of
Miss Anno Orme, one of the season's
debutantes, and Miss Katherine Rich
ardson, who will leave the following
day for a trip to Tuba, the luneheon
to he In the nature of a good-bye party
to Miss Richardson.

of Miss Virginia Woolley.

ing party given Friday everting by Mias
Sally Eugenia Brown In honor of her
niece, Mix* Mary Brown, who Is at
home from school for the holldaya, and
Ml** Ellen Carter, of Savannah, who

The beautiful home of Ml** Brown,
on Peachtree road, was decorated 111
garland* of «mllax and wreath* of holly
and cedar, tied with bright red ribbon,
which were hung over doors and win-
idows. while the mantels In the beautl-
jful drawing room and In the other
apartment* were massed with flowering
‘plant*. Poln«ettla blossom* were the
flower* used In the dining room, with
red carnations and red rose*, and a de
licious supper was served there dur
ing the evening, while dancing wa* en
joyed throughout the apartments.
Punch was served from a prettily
decorated table, where the lights were
shaded In pink, and pink begonia* were
the flowers used.
Miss Brown was a very charming
hostess and received her guests wear
ing a gown of pink satin combined with
point lace.
Miss Mary Brown wore a dancing
fro.rk of white mouasellne veiled In
Chantilly laee.
Mis* Carter wore yellow flowered
crepe draped with yellow chiffon.
