HOLDS FINE SESSION;
PALE FACE SCALPED

into their wigwam on Wednesday
aieep with a goodly attendance.
They art looking forward tt> a hejip
big time on election night, as there
are four of out* ablest Injuns in the
race for junior sagamore, either one
of which would make us a good chief.
The forest was scouted by our eagle-
eyed warrior, who spied one lone.pale
face. He was carried promptly before
Big Sachem Scott, our own Sitting
Bull, who scalped him In a manner
that would have done credit to one of
the aboriginal race.
'Conesauga Is expecting much from
her young bucks going the round of
stumps. The next sachem. Brother
Daniel, la a chief of marked execu
tive ability, and we expect much j>f
him. W. E. Spates, the next senior
sagamore, is very popular In the tribe,
and no better Red Man could have
been found to start on the round of

The Knights of Maccabees of Atlantu
have started a movement by which
they hope to get all lodges of the va-

ested !n"the proposed big exposition of
. 1910.
I The first step In this direction was
taken by Greater Atlanta Tent No. 10,
when It subscribed the sum of $26 to
the exposition fund.
The members of this tent are enthu
siastic over the movement for the great
show and are anxious that other lodges
subscribe to the fund. The Maccabees
believe the exposition will prove a big
benefit to the secret orders generally
and feel that tho orders should take
an Interest in making 1< a success.
The plan 1h being urged by, deputy
