Recommends Beveridge Bill. He not only recommends the passage of the so-called Beveridge amendment to the agricultural appropriation bill, but threatens to destroy the foreign business of the packers should congress fall to provide for Federal Inspection of meats at all stages of preparation. In the event of such failure the pres ident says he will be compelled to order that Inspection Inbels and certificates on canned products shall not be used hereafter.
