At tha Casino.
The great popularity of the Welle-
Dunne-Harlen Company la such that
even rain falling In torrents dose not
■eem to have milch effect on the
crowds, for two remarkably large au
diences were present yesterday at the
Casino. While the wind howled and
the rain beat outside the audience that
occupied a goodly part of the theater
enjoyed the performance thoroughly,
demanding encore* when the musical
numbers were put on.
"Glortnna" is an English comedy, but
It Is safe to say that the author would
hardly recognise hie own in the merry
musical melange which t( being of
fered at the Casino this week. These
clever lot of performers have a way
of introducing new and up-to-date ma
terial, topical songs, big musical num
bers, and originnl stage business which
would make u success out of the dull
est comedy. It Is this skillful handling
of the raw material which has made
the wonderful success of this organisa
tion. “Glnrlann" In less skillful hands
might not fare so well, but os It Is
presented now It makes a most enjoy
able entertainment and every person'
who has seen the performance this
week at the Casino Is delighted with
the show.
Next week we are to have the same
company In "The Night of the Fourth.”
It la by far the beat thing the Wella-
Dunne- Harlan Company has ever done
and I-lltle Chip and Mary Marble, as
well as the chorus, will have splendid
opportunities to do their best work.
The sals of seats for next week will
commence Friday morning at the
Grand box office.
