The marriage of Miss Jessie A. Bull
and Mr. A. L. Richards took place last
Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock at the
home of the bride on Mllledge avenue.
Rev. J. L. Edmonson performed the
ceremony In an Impressive manner, in
the presence of about fifty Intimate
frlenda of the bride and groom. The
bride was attended by Miss Katie Lou
10-11 as maid of honor and Mr. Walter
ulosn acted as best man. The bride
was gowned In white silk ' batiste,
trimmed In point lace. Shortly after
the ceremony Mr. and Mrs Richards
left for Lookout Mountain and after
June 16 will be at home to their friends

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Randall, of Waco,
Texas, announce the marriage of their
daughter, Etta Rebecca, to Mr. Cllf
ford Harold Gray, fonnerly of Atlanta,
but now residing In New York. The
wadding occurred at the residence of
the bride's sister, Mrs. J. P. Boone, at
New York, and the ceremony waa per
formed by her brother-in-law. Rev. J.
P. Boone.
Miss Gray, previous to her marriage,
bad been the guest of her sister, Mrs.
Boone, at New York, for several weeks
It was Intended that the marriage
should take place early In the autumn,
but the pressing business engagements
of the groom caused an alteration of
their plans. Mr. C. Harold Gray Is
the son of Mr*. William W. Austell, of
Atlanta, nnd has many relatives and
friends In the city who will feel a sin
cere Interest In the announcement of
his recent marriage. Mr. Gray holds a
tv cry responsible position with the
Goodyear Automobile Company, with
his headquarter* at New York, and ho
travels over the Southern district for
hl» firm. After their marriage Mr. and
Mrs. Gray left for a short honeymoon
trip and will be the guests of Rev. and
Mrs. J. P. Boone In New York upon
their return.
MI8SES ALLEY - ENTERTAIN.
Misses Aroelle and Minnie Alley en
tertained a number ot their young
friends a few evenings since' at a
tackey party at their home, 61 Wood
ward avenue. The guests wore many
attractive costumes. Refreshments
were served during the evening and a
musical program was rendered.

Orange, Oa, Thursday evening, June

Mari* Perkins and Mr. John Arthur
Enterkln, of that city.
It waa a simple home wedding. Th*
rooms were decorated entirely In white
and green, bride rosea, daisies, magno
lias, cap* Jessamines and vines being
arranged with artistic taste. There
were no attendants and the bride and
groom entered th* parlor* as Mendels
sohn's wedding march was played by
Misses James and Maxwell.
The bride wore a handsome ffbwn of
Sappho silk, elaborately trimmed with
lace. Th* cermony was performed by
Rev. B. H. Trammel.
After the ceremony an Informal re
ception was held and a buffet supper
was served In the dining room. The
decorations here were white and green,
th* bride's table being a mass of bride's
rosea Streamers of whit* ribbon were
brought from th* chandeliers to the
edges of the table and caught with dai

appointments combined the white and

Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock, the
marriage of Mlsa Eleanors Wills and
William P. Rutland, waa celebrated at
Oak Hill, near Nashville, the residence
of the bride's relatives, Mr. and Mrs.
Van Leer Klrkman, In the presence of
large gathering of relatives and
friends.
The bride la the only daughter of
Major and Mrs. A. W. Wills and was
one of the much admired debutantes of
the past season.
The Klrkman home was opened
throughout on the first floor and pro-
fuaely decorated In white .and .green
with quantltle* of white lilies, daisies,
bride rotes, sweet peas, ferns anfl
palms Garlands of smllox were
caught to the wood work with large
white eatln bows and dusters of
lilies.
The scheme of decoration culminated
In the drawing room, where, on a
platform at one end, an altar woe
erected that was very churchly In ef
fect. Back of a large gold cross rose
tiers of white lilies and plains, with
many branched cathedral candlesticks
on either side sending out a flood of
light from their toll white candles. The
altar table and prayer stools were
draped with white satin. Rich East
ern rugs covered the raised platform
that was like a church chancel. On
this the Rt. Rev. Thomas F. Gallor,
Bishop of Tennessee, and Dr. F. F.
Reese, rector of Christ Church, took
their stands before the entrance of the
bridal party.

Early In September Mr. and Mrs.
William W. Austell and Mrs. Pauline-
Gray will sail for Europe for an In

Mrs. Alex Smith has returned from
Athens, whore she attended commence

son, Alexander Smith, Jr., who was
graduated with distinction at the uni

Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Early will sail
on the 20th of June for Europe, to re
turn In September. They will leave
Atlanta on the 26th Inst, for New

for their trip abroad.
Mrs. Herbert Brown will go
Marietta Friday to remain until Mon
day. After her return to Atlanta she

young ladle* all wore white organdie
coetumes. very, chic nnd summery,
elaborately trimmed with lace; and
they carried over their shoulder* gar
lands of pink and lavender sweet peas
and emllax. They wore girdles of
pink and lavender caught with enam
eled belt pin* given by the bride, and
In their hair pink and lavender hair
ornaments. Over thefr arm* they car
ried large hate filled with pink and
lavender sweet pea*.
The maid and matron of honor, Miss
Martha Thomas and Mrs. Evans Rich
ardson, divided those colors on their
costumes; 'Mrs. Richardson’s gown ot
white chiffon and lace having a lav
ender girdle, with a lavender hair
bow, and a bouquet of lavender sweet
peas. Miss Martha Thomas, In a lovely
pale pink embroidered mull gown
trimmed elaborately with lace, bad a
nk bouquet, pink girdle and bow.
The bride entered with her father.
She wore a rich Prince** gown of
Duchesse satin. It was high neck,
with long sleeves, and was combined
elaborately with Imported lace and
while silk embroidery. Pearl medal
lions were on th* corsage, and the
train was accordion pleated. She
wore the long veil of Illusion with
orange blossoms and a splendid dia
mond ornament In her hair. The bride
groom stood at the chancel steps to
nwalt her coming, with his best man.
Luke Lea. The Italian orchestra made
the wedding music. .
Mra. Wills wore a handsome gown
while crepe d* chin* and Irish
points, with diamond ornament*, and
carried a bouquet of American
Beauties. Mrs. Thomas B.. Neal,
mother of the groom, appeared In a
gown of white brocade and moire,
combined with Duchesse and rose
point* lace. Her Jewels were dia
monds and pearls, and she carried a
French bouquet of pink roses.
Late In the evening Mr. Rutland and
his bride left, via Chicago, for an ex
tended Western trip, the bride wearing
a tailored costume of brown cloth,
with a silk blouse and a hat of brown
straw with a cream aigrette and quilled
band ot brown velvet. On their re
turn they will be with Mr*. Neal In
the Polk.
