Joynar met Tuesday night and formed a cen tral campaign committee In the Inter, eat of hla candidacy for the mayoralty, A number of short talks were made, It being the expressed desire of those present to roll up the largest majority for Chief Joyner ever given to a candi date for this offlee In Atlanta. Representatives from each of the eight wards of Atlanta were present, and reported the conditions existing as to the candidacy of the man whose cause they chaipploned. Secretary Charles N. Allen, of the sub-committee of the city Democratic executive committee being present, Chief Joyner paid hla entrance fee of 1100. J. W. Nelms waa selected chairman and Evelyn Harris secretary of the central committee. Ward committees will be named Immediately, and the campaign entered Into with a determi nation to give the chief a great ma jority on election day. Another meeting will be called short ly, when the general plan of'campaign will be mapped out. At a meeting of those Intereeted In the project, which will be held the lat ter part of this week, the detalla for the incorporation of the first company will he completed and the proper pa pers filed. This concern will deal In electrical construction and equipment.
