gathered at the beautiful home before
the appropriate program mu opened
by an invocation. Mn. Miller Htlteh-
lna, regent of the chapter, In charge,
delivered a ahott address of welcome
to the three other chapter*. This was
answered In no lea* pleaalng manner
by Mr*. Thomaa Morgan, regent of the
Atlanta chapter.

the occasion, combined In an eloquent
setting historical facta and Incident!

was mado by George M. Napier, of
Macon, who Is Junior warden of the
grand lodge of Georgia. Mr. Napier's
uiltiress was In the nature of a Fourth
of July oration, his subject being "Freer
Masonry and the Growth of tho Ameri
can Republic."
Hcverai hundred delegates from the
Second district are In attendance. One
of the features of the gathering Is the
Ideal nature of the work of the first
three degrees of Masonry, as exempli
fied by the degree teams from the
Uulnbiidge, Tlfton and Dawson
lodges.

port on the eighteen Islands In the Gulf
of Mexico which this state has reserved
and protected for tho breeding of game
and water bird*, and the IJreton Island
government reservation for the same
purpose. President Frank M. Miller, of
the Louisiana Audubon Society, said:
