La, July *.—In Ihe dis trict court Judge Bell haa affirmed a decision of the city court, which sends Nick Reno, a merchant, to Jail for thir ty days for violating the Sunday law by selling two cigar* and a package of tobacco on Runday. Louisiana has a stringent Sunday law.-but this la the first time a Jail sentence was Imposed In any case of the kind. Reno was convicted on his first trial nnd fined 125 and costa and given the Jail sentence.
