comparatively simple matter to feign
Insanity and fool the leading alienists
of New York was revealed In th* court
of general sessions yesterday when
Martin Tlghe, on trial for murdar,
practically admitted that he had ac

Th* Importance of the revelation Ilea
In the fact that among tha alienists
who were deceived by Tlghe was Dr.
Charles L. Dana, one of the experts
retained by the defense In the Thaw-
case. In view of this fact the district
attorney's office places the greatest
weight on testimony brought out st the
trial of another murderer prisoner to
the effect that there exists, a well or
ganized “insanity school" In’ th* Tombs
In which prisoners are taught to evade
the probing examinations of the expert
alienists. It was shown that savsral of
the alienists who have been retained
In the Thaw rase were woefully mis

other prisoner.
