and five white and nineteen blacks In
jured, It la possible that there may
be others.
"On account of wires having been
knocked down by the accident, It Is Im
possible to get correct lists of the
killed.
“The accident waa caused by the
failure of the operator at Rockingham
to hold No. 44 for the extra freight
train.”

Belchertown, Mass., July 24.—It Is
now tha belief of nesrly every one In
terested In the mysterious dlsappear-
snee of Miss Wlnsola M. Goodell thst
■he has eloped, Is now married under
an assumed name and that she will be
heard from before many days. A
young woman, answering her descrip
tion, was married July 9 at Holyoke,
according to a letter Just received.
One person, who still maintains the
opinion that she has been murdered
and that her body wilt be found In Up
per pond, la her father, Wesley M.
Goodell, and her immediate relatives.
Mr. Goodell Is s spiritualist, and places
f reat confidence In the declarations of
>r. Einklel M. Abbey, a medium, who
wetft Into a trance and declared that
the body of the girl will be found In
the northern part of Upper pond, and
that when It Is found the mystery will
be deeper than ever.
' Even though he believes his daugh
ter to be lying lifeless on the bottom
of the pond, Mr. Goodell declares that
he will be the happiest man In the
world If she has eloped, and will wel
come her home with opart arms.

summer vacation Monday noon, and
be absent from the city four Sundays.
