Friday night at Segadlo’s hall the
younger set of sdclety will enjoy an

with the younger net this summer.

CARD PARTY.
Thursday evening at the Bon Air
Mrs. William Witt and Mrs. A.
Collier were hostesses at a very en
joyable euchre party. Their guests
were limited to the guests of the Bon
Air, and they were assisted In enter
taining by Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Drake.
The prises were a Dresden chiffon
scarf, a gentleman's pocketbook and
a new song, and at the conclusion of
the game 'delicious refreshments were
served.
MISSES BROWN ENTERTAIN.
This week's meeting of the North
Bide Club, of Decatur, was held at the
home of Misses Ina and Gertrude
Brown. Progressive games were played,
at the conclusion of which a course
luncheon was served.
The flrst prise was won by Miss
Matthews, and was a dainty powder
box. i
Mrs. Sherrafd Kennedy won the con
solation, a lace centerpiece.

Thursday evening several young
men of West End were hosts at a very
enjoyable straw ride In honor of Miss
Haselle Alexander, the guest of Miss

The party was chaperoned by Mr.
and Mrs. A. R. Colcord, and after a long
ride enjoyed a delicious luncheon at

The marriage of Miss Kathleen Mc
Gregor and Mr. Leon Bebrlng Dure at
Macon Thursday evening, was an
event of much social Interest, not only
In Macon, but in many parts of Geor
gia.
The ceremony was solemnised at
Christ church at * o'clock. Rev. Wil
liam Bohler Walker officiating. Miss
Eula Felton Willingham was maid of
honor and the bridesmaids were: Miss

The bride's toilette was of white silk
trimmed with quantities of duchesse
lace. Her tulle veil was caught with
orange blossoms and her bouquet was
of lilies of the valley and awansonla
blossoms.
After the church ceremony, a buffet
supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter D. Lamar was attended by
many of the guests, the evening closing
with a dance at the Log Cabin Club.

Miss Cornelia Rebecca Coffee and
Dr. Thomas Gould Cunningham were
married Thursday evening at 8:30
o'clock, at the home of the bridt'a
mother, Mrs, Nannie C. Coffee, at De
catur, Go.
The ceremony, which was performed
by Rev. Dr. Patton, was witnessed by
the relatives and Intimate friends of
the bridal couple.
The bride's gown was a beautiful
creation of white messallne silk
trimmed In duchesse lace, and made
prlncesse fashion. Her bouquet was of
white carnations. Mrs. Coffee wore nn
attractive toilette of black relieved with
white lace.
The home was profusely decorated
with potted plants and cut flowers.
After an elaborate buffet supper Dr.
and Mrs. Cunningham left on the mid
night train for a visit to Eastern cities.
The bride’s handsome golng-away
gown was of blue silk with lingerie
waist, and hat en suite.

Each pupil rendered his or her part

to both student and teacher. A pleas
ant surprise of the evening was the
presentation of a medal to the teacher
from the class.

At the Methodist church at Dublin,
On., Misses Tommie Lee and Maude
Hightower were united In.marriage to
Messrs. Rodger and Luther Stalllhgs,
Jr. Rev. E. H. McGehee, pastor of
the Methodist church, performed the
ceremony.
The altar and choir rails were dec
orated with ferns and pot plants.
Long before the hour for the cere
mony the auditorium of the church
was fllled to Its utmost capacity by the
Invited friends of the families.
The bridal party entered the church
to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding
march, played by Miss Blanche Davis
on the piano, assisted by Miss Phlll-
pena Gardiner, of Dallas, Texas, and
Mr. E. J. Blackshear, of this city, on
violins.
The ushers, Messrs. J. M. Finn, S.
J. Lord, H. M. Stanley and L. L.
Grimes, were preceded to the altar
by the little flower girls, Misses Mar
garet Pritchett and Martha Kate Rents,
each bearing baskets of beautiful roses.
Next came the attendants; brides
maids, Misses Adeline Baum, Gusste
Bell Rawles, Blanche Baum, Agnes
Oreen, Annie Green and Mamie New
man. Groomsmen: Messrs. Hill Thom-
Jule Green, John Johnston. Tom

Hicks. The matrons of honor were
Mrs. 8. J. Lord and Mrs. L. L. Grimes.
Misses Lida Pritchett and Zoe High

came the grooms, Messrs. Rodger and
Luther Stallings, followed by the
brides, Misses Tommie Lee and Maude
Hightower, In handsome traveling cos
tumes of green silk, and carrying bou
quets of white roses nnd fern fronds,
tied with white tulle.
After the coremony Mrs. T. If. Smith
sang ''Trusting Only You,” and os the
last notes died away Mendelssohn’s
march was played, to the strains of
which the party left the church, and
entering carriages were driven to the
IV. nnd T. depot, where the newly
wedded couple* took the train for
Wrlghtsvllle Beach, N. C., where the
honeymoon will be spent.
Both the young ladles were graduates
of the Dublin public school. Mlaa
Tommie Lee was also a graduate of
Wesleyan Female College, of Macon,
and Miss Maude graduated from Cox
College, of College Park.
Alter August 10 they will be at home
to their friends In Dublin on Academy
street.
